BODRUM VILLAGE TOUR
The eastern half of the Bodrum Peninsula sets a complete contrast to the bouncing tourist resorts along the western coast, laden with numerous hotels, world-famous clubs/bars and jazzy shops.
Why not venture a half day out and discover what lies beyond the hustle and bustle of your resort. A short drive of 25 km will lead you to the rural beauties and friendly locals both unblemished by modernity.
After being welcomed and ushered by the chief of the village through the streets with kids chirping about with their friendly "Hello" s, we will be hosted by a local family in their traditional house where we witness their humble yet proud lives.
Bodrum countryside still produces a considerable amount of olives and tangerines and rightfully boasts with the authentic Milas carpets and kilims woven in its villages and hamlets. A short display of carpets and kilims woven by village women ends this unforgettable day.
